Ida Magntorn is an author of interior books, a journalist and a photographer. She works with editorial and comercial clients as well as art projects, focusing mainly on lifestyle and interiors.

Ida Magntorn started as a journalist specialized in interiors and antiquities with various assignments as an editor including the weekly supplement on houses and gardens of Sydsvenska dagbladet, the largest daily newspaper in southern Sweden.

As a photographer she has gained a reputation for her sense of aesthetics and her ability to work with daylight.

In the book Home Style by City, published 2014 by Chronicle Books, San Francisco, Ida Magntorn has portraited interiors in five metropolitan cities: New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London and Copenhagen.

Home Style by City is currently for sale at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa) shop in Soho New York as well as in Tokyo, Japan.

In 2013 Ida Magntorn received the award Recycling profile of the year from Erikshjälpen. She is currently working on a book about the sustainable and harmonious home, to be released fall 2017.
